Correo is a new email application for the mac that promises to merge mac style and thunderbird functionality into a neat little package. Much like Camino has done with firefox. It’s only at version 0.1 at the moment but I’m hopeful that with a bit of TLC this app will become one of the best email clients available on the mac.
Apple Mail is excellent it’s easy to manage mail, it’s nice to use and currently it’s my mail app of choice but one thing that really frustrates me about it is IMAP support. It doesn’t handle certain folder layouts (particularly in the maildir format) very well at all and this is a source of major frustration for me.
Needless to say after a bit more development I’ll be switching to Correo to give a trial run. As it is it already supports IMAP more fully than Mail… and it’s only 0.1….
